I don't see what the problem is. The internet is not a right it's a priviledge. If country's choose to restrict its use, that is their choice. And the aim of the treaty is to protect the rights of the innocent. It's like TV - if you want to have your Playboy channel and all the PPV porn, go ahead, but keep it out of my face - that's my right too.
I agree with Sean, I mean part of me hates the idea of the beginning of restrictions on the internet. However, restricting Internet isn't restricting free speech rights it is restricting that medium for your free speech rights. For the same reason you can't put whatever you want on TV.
And also, since the internet was a really a military government project, we should be grateful enough that they let it get this far.
But I still don't like Big Brother tactics, and I hope this doesn't become that.
But the bottom line is.. if your not doing the crime then you won't do the time.
