    What do you guys think...

I came across this problem of mine where the UNI has many classes (practical, theory).... I have choosen certain modules.... Each module has more than few tutorials or theory classes running at different times.. i have to attend any one...

So planing he time table is hectic.. I am planing to create a PHP site which will take all the classes and create the proper time table .. hope you get the concept..

Is there already something like this... if not
would you use the free service if something like this was available...

I'm glad I never had to deal with that. My school had a very nice online registration system that showed you a schedule and would populate the schedule as you chose different class sections. It would also stop you from overlapping classes, attempting to register for classes you didn't have the prerequisite for, or classes that were already full so you didn't have to show up on the first day and find out your not on the roster etc.

    But um... yeah, Outlook.

Outlook Express is just the E-mailer isn't it? Doesn't have the calendar/personal organiser stuff in it.
