    CHM files from the FAQ/Tutorials?

    If someone were to create a CHM help file for all the tutorials/FAQ's on CProgramming.com, would the site host it? Is there anyone out there that knows how to create CHM files?

    The reason I ask is that I have all the PHP documentation as a CHM, and Programming Windows 5th Ed. by Charles Petzold CHM (I also have the book though, I'm a good boy). Both these come in very handy for looking things up as its all on my computer and I can just search through it and stuff... but I have nothing like that for normal C++, and I always end up coming to the FAQ/Tutorials here to look them up.

    I think having CHM and other forms of manuals made out of the tutorials here could be very beneficial to beginners and novices, and even most of us. It could also save a few "why does my application keep closing" questions.

    Whatcha think? And is there anyone out there who can create CHM files from HTML pages?

    From C to shining C++!

    Great graphics, sounds, algorithms, AI, pathfinding, visual effects, cutscenes, etc., etc. do NOT make a good game.

    Its a windows compiled HTML help file (not sure what it stands for.. Compiled Hypertext Markup? Compiled HTML Manual?)... anyway its what most of windows' help files come as.

    I do know how to create CHM files, but the main advantage to you would be searching offline, and I think that indicing the keywords could be tedious.

    Microsoft has a free tool called HTML Help Workshop to make compiled HTML files. If you're familiar with the older Help Workship for Windows 95/NT 4.0-style WinHelp, you'll be familiar with this tool. Do some searching on Microsoft's site.

    lol who keeps voted for the STFU stovellp option?

    I downloaded the HTML Help thingy, and I was playing around with it. When I figure it out I'll create the CHM, but ONLY if CProgramming agrees to host it
