before i read the whole post I thought you live in a shack for only $475. The cheapest apartments around here, chicago burbs, are around $750 for one bedroom! For your list i think you forgot food; I don't believe that two people can live a whole month on 60 bucks worth of groceries.Originally posted by TravisS
My costs (if I didn't have a wife that helps bills):
rent: $475
home phone: $35
cell phone: $40
electric: ~ $40
groceries: ~$60
internet: $0
car payments: $250
insurance: $140
other car stuff: ~ $55
other random stuff: ~ $50
That totals to about $1150/month. Not bad, not bad at all. Even if I missed a few things, it wouldn't be more than $100. Add in that my wife helps out with about $100 of that per month and my cost of living is barely over $1000, and I make approx $1900/month and it all works out pretty well
Oh, and this is the costs of Bremerton, WA... this place is cheap, my appartment would easily cost $600+/month 20 minutes from here and $1000+/month in Seattle.
