    Is it a scam?

Theres a ad on the radio for free MCSE courses, literature included but its not very discriptive. They aim you to www.computertraining.com and urge u to take this "challenging test" thats a load of crap. So i take it, why not.

They call me and want me to come to philly for a "seminar"....sounds like a sell you something scam, comments?

If you come to Philly, drop me a line, and we can hang out.

Could be legit, but sounds too good to be true. How much is the seminar?

My bet is that it's a scam.

    Really, it's that easy.
I would think that truly says something about it.

Anyway, try calling them. Ask some good questions. Get joshdick to go to their address and check them out .

Also a insecure site. I would think it's a scam. Most Microsoft sites are "secure" in the way of the little lock at the bottom.

Read the fine print. The MS course is not free.

The intro couse / sales pitch

"This is a one night, personal, in-depth overview of the latest trends in IT, how it started, where it's headed, and most importantly what benefits await you in this exciting and expanding field. "

    is free....
"Man alone suffers so excruciatingly in the world that he was compelled to invent laughter."
    Friedrich Nietzsche

"I spent a lot of my money on booze, birds and fast cars......the rest I squandered."
    George Best

you should have included the first line:
Before even setting foot in a classroom, experience a FREE Microsoft & Cisco Certification Workshop to see just how the field of Information Technology (IT) is leading the charge of a recovering economy. This is a one night, personal, in-depth overview of the latest trends in IT, how it started, where it's headed, and most importantly what benefits await you in this exciting and expanding field.
it's a free seminar that tells you what the classes are about... this 'free seminar' is not a hell of alot more than any other college open house... it's not in the fine print, either... just click the link: http://computertraining.com./start/workshop.shtml

I say go. Even if it is a scam, isn't being able to hang out with joshdick more than worth the trip?
