    evoke the evil within you

I used to listen to slipknot a lot, and it made me feel good to be bad.

Then I started listening to happy music, and I sometimes got depressed and sad and confused.

Now I listen to slipknot again today, and it totally evokes the evil within!

This is starting to get scary. Is there something about this forum or programming that attracts a certain personality type?

hahahahaha... slipknot... I can tell just by your post that you're one of those people that like to pretend to be all 'bad'... I can guarantee you I've seen much worse than what you consider 'bad'

Dude, Slipknot is not going for the "bad" crowd. So by saying you feel "bad" because you listened to Slipknot, just means that:
    1. You don't understand the music
    2. You are representing the stupid goth crowd
    3. You are the type of person that doesn't deserve to own a Slipknot CD

Quit embarrasing true fans, like myself, of Slipknot. You are not a maggot, and never will be!

I suggest you take a greater look at the music before you judge it to be "evil". If you consider Slipknot evil, don't even attempt to listen to underground heavy metal bands. Slipknot is light stuff compared to some of the stuff I listen to. They're still cool, and all of their members are very talented musicians.

I'm sorry if it came off the wrong way....lol no I'm not goth, and I don't want to be....I just like how the music sounds lol.

But I was just curious what is the heavier stuff you said you listen to, bludstayne? I like this kind of music, but this is like the 'heaviest' i've ever heard. What's the even crazier stuff? I'll try downloading some.

PS: I'm not trying to be 'bad', I also listen to artists like john mayer, weezer, coldplay, and bands like that.

Johnny Cash could eat slipknots for breakfast. Now he's dead. Lesson: don't take your guns to town.

ddaaahhh I listen to Black Sabath and Deep Purple, but when I look in the mirror I'm not black nor am I purple. Where are all of the purty color bands?

Ramstein is pretty good dark music considering they manage to make songs out of puns, playing with language and metaphors in almost all their songs. I guess it's a bit hard to appreciate in anything but German, but if you can understand it and catch the double meaning, it's great music.

    NO! NOT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

    *explode*

slipknot has like, no talent. I can fire up fruity loops and have my cat walk on the keyboard and produce similar sound waves.

Keep it nearby. People may again need to be told the difference between actual music, and people that havent yet learned method, rythm, or style.
