Can anybody tell me how to retrieve your BIOS password? Thanks in advance
Is this programming related?, because it asks of nothing regarding programming.
The easiest way is to check your motherboard for a BIOS password reset jumper. Remove the jumper, wait 10 seconds, then replace it. The BIOS password is now erased.
Some older BIOS's came with manufacturer passwords if this isn't an option. Look up the manufacturer's web site for default ones (like "AMDbios").
Last resort - remove the motherboard battery and wait 30 or so seconds. This will reset all BIOS settings.
Hope that helps.

Technically this password can be retrieved from memory, but it is probably encrypted. The only reason it may not be is because information on the different BIOS's and where they store their data is not easy to come by and there are many diff BIOSes out there. There are several sites on the net that do list specific BIOS details such as where and how they store their data. But if you are not experienced in programming I would not recommend retrieving a password this way. Also, some BIOSes may halt the system, reboot, or deny access to memory locations if you try to retrieve the password via software.
Best bet is to do this physically by either removing a jumper or the battery if your board does not have a jumper.
