I was never good with poetry ... Does this mean that the subject ties a rope around his neck and jump of the bridge ?
The subject wants to jump off a small bridge, not an intercity bridge. Jumping off a small bridge and hitting the river bank won't really kill you. So instead, he wants to hang himself off the bridge.

Well, a picture is worth a thousand words.

anyone thinking about suicide doesn't realize that there are so many options open to them besides suicide. it's amazing how little all that matters in the long run.

As to the poem, just STOP IT! there was a skit once on mad tv where a psychologist admits patience and his solution to all problems is "just STOP it". I totally agree with that. It seems that people feel too sorry for themselves lately; when something is not going the way they planned it then there is no future for them....I hate people who feel sorry for themselves.

Whether or not the poem is serious, no one ever has the right to tell another person that their problems aren't bad, or to "suck it up". And telling someone who's depressed to kill themself is just $$$$ing disgusting. Different people are affected by different things in different ways, and people have different coping capacities. Something can completely devastate one person, and not harm another. Depression sucks.

Give him a break, it's just a poem...even though it was completely stupid. Homophobia and wanting to kill everyone and yourself because you can't get laid is retarded.

I thought he was bungee jumping what with tying a rope around his neck and then to the bridge.

Would suck at the bottom of the rope though.

    SNAP!!

Guess I'm not good at poetry either. But if you could show me some poetry maybe I would be.

Okay, so you wrote a poem about things you have no clue about. Great work. You are just like the million other fake poets that think they made poetry by splitting their little unimportant thoughts into seperate lines, rather than writing them in paragraph form. There's a lot more to poetry than that my friend. Write about your emotions. Maybe you'll actually write something good.
