    UFO's

Why are UFO deemed to be cirlce or saucer shaped? Especially with that large half orb 'windshield' on top? Wouldn't a shape like that create more turbulence because of it not being more streamline to the air and and atmostphere, especially moving at VERY high speed?

Ummm I kinda dont think that is a problem in space- do you?

So...as UFO's (i guess) spend most of there time in space, turbulance and streamlining isnt a problem.

And anyhow, they are not 'deemed' to be-it is what people have supposedley seen.

The key word is supposedley. People claim to see lots of things, everything from god, to aliens, to the monsters in their closet. People don't allways claim to see saucers eigther(that's just what people think the majority sees), the sauser is just just how the media shows a UFO.

But the flying pink elephants are real.
The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.

The idea is that by having a circle/saucer, you can create artificial gravity using centripetal force.

You can do that without a circular (or even symmetric) shape... It would just feel a bit funny when you walked to different parts of the ship.

Both of you shush! If you can travel millions of light years to earth, you are not going to give a $$$$ what shape your craft is. It wont matter about symmetry etc, as your technology will have exceeded this!

I would make a UFO shaped like a cube. No windows.
Do not make direct eye contact with me.

Does that have a hidden meaning? (No MS Windows, or like the Borg)

When Star Trek was first created, the saucer section was actually supposed to rotate, which was their explanation of how there was gravity on the ship. Then they just created 'gravity generators'.

Which was probably a lot cheaper, which is reason they inventer the transporter (Beam me up, Scoty"), as they coudn't afford to reproduce a shuttle landing every single episode.

A UFO is simply any unidentified flying object. A UFO is not necessairly an imagined extraterrestrial spacecraft. The reason probably has something to do with most UFOs caught on film being optical reflections in a roughly circular shape.
