Recompiling the kernel is relatively easy, dude .

The kernel isn't a very big download, and most distros won't come out with a 2.6 version until their next cycle. Gentoo will probably come out with one soon, but they'll probably be the first for a while.

Just download the kernel, compile it, move it to /boot, and stop ..........ing

Oh, right, I forgot this new kernel is xbox-heug. Yeah, it's big. At 56k you can get it in 45 minutes, though.... Kernel.org has fast servers.

PS: It hurts so good, baby

Not sure I'll upgrade for a while. Using fedora and the last kernal upgrade I did was through up2date. I have never upgraded a kernel on my own. I heard there where issues with rpm's and kernels, but yum updated fedora fine last time so I may just wait for it to be released for fedora by the people at redhat.

Good news, although I'm not gonna upgrade till they have full NTFS support.
Maybe if I have a lot of time to kill.
