    Exclamation Need a professional

No, I didn't mean it like that :P

What I do need is a professional programmer who can answer some questions for my health project

I'm doing a little career report and the last step before writing the actual paper is interviewing someone who has the job you decided to research...I didn't really want to do this over the internet but I couldn't find any professional programmers in the community, and my teacher says email is ok, so I would appreciate if someone could answer these questions by posting, pm, or emailing me ([email protected]).

    What is your name?

    What is your title?

    Where are you employed?

Where did you "obtain your education," and what degrees do you have?

What are your job responsibilities (just a brief list)?

On a more personal note, what do you like and dislike about your job?

What is your typical day like, from beginning to end?

If you need any clarifying on the questions, let me know. Thanks!

Just recycle previous answers from others who have asked and answered similar questions
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

Well I don't think all of my questions have been asked before...I'll look at some of the other threads, but my teacher was very specific in what she wanted us to ask

    Why not, I'm bored...

    >What is your name?
    Julienne S. Guth

    >What is your title?
    Sr. Systems Engineer

    >Where are you employed?
    The Home Depot

    >Where did you "obtain your education,"
Self taught (reading, writing programs, teaching others). I wouldn't recommend that particular path, it leads to bad habits unless you stumble upon good practices fairly early. I'm still trying to push aside the bad habits that I acquired in the first years.

    >and what degrees do you have?
BS in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology

    >What are your job responsibilities (just a brief list)?
    Fairly typical of the field:
"Development and maintenance of business software applications: debugging, designing, coding, testing, spec writing, roll-out, and user support. Technical services; software and hardware architecture design and maintenance; security operations. Data modeling; database administration ; software architecture engineering; methodology. Store engineering and roll-out implementation. Desktop (PC) platform and software configuration, debugging, and support. Accurate work planning and execution; accurate project and time tracking Responsible for the development of less experienced associates; mentor and teach. Reports to a Team Lead. May have supervisory responsibilities; may guide/lead newer associates and/or interns. Typically requires frequent persuasion or influencing of others. Usually assigns and reviews work of others."

    >On a more personal note, what do you like and dislike about your job?
Not very challenging on the technical side.

    >What is your typical day like, from beginning to end?
Honestly: I go to work, talk to a bunch of people, try to get some work done, get called away on "critical" problems, talk to a bunch of people, eat lunch, try to get some work done, report to my superiors, $$$$$ at my subordinates, try to get some work done, finish up and go home.

On a side note, all of those questions have been answered before in previous threads exactly like this one.
My best code is written with the delete key.

Thanks, Prelude, and sorry about posting questions that have been answered before.
