speaking of race and such, what are your guys' thoughts on affirmative action? I just helped my girfriend write a 15 page reasearch paper about that topic....part of our thesis was that it is no longer necessary and should be taken out, from any type of procedures.
some entropy with that sink? entropysink.com

I agree, but I think predjudice in business will still be a factor. My step-dad quit his job and started his own consulting business with his partner (from the old business). His partner owns 51% of the company (his partner, and friend, is black) so they get tax breaks for having a minority business. Actually, it's my mom and his friend's wife who techincally owns the company. So the majority of the company is owned by a black woman. Smart on their part.

see, thats where affirmative action is wrong, affirmative action was supposed to bring an equal playing field so that blacks could get on their feet after all the segregation and bias before 1965. There is no need for it nowadays, as everyone has an equal (minorities more equal than others)opportunity in school and business.I think predjudice in business will still be a factor. the basic thing is, RACE DOES MATTER(not ment as a yell, but emphasis), when you fill in the census, you have to put your race, when you take the ACT and SAT you list your race, when you apply for financial aid in college you put your race, when you apply to college you put your race, when you do your taxes race i a factor, racial discrimination is prevalent in society, just not against the groups the media says there is.
