    only smoking while drinking

Within the past month I've heard tons of people saying that they only smoke when they drink. Then I see Freddy vs. Jason (no, I didn't pay to watch it, thank god) and in the beginning the chick is getting yelled at because she's smoking (did anyone else notice the anti-smoking thing?) and she replied that she only smokes when she drinks. My friend listens to country music and one of the songs we were listening to was "She only smokes when she drinks". I laughed my ass off. What the hell is it with this stuff? I smoke all the time. What's the difference with only smoking while drinking? Do you drink lots?

I dunno - sometimes when I'm drinking it just feels nice to have a cigarette or something. I don't smoke sober; never really thought about why.

I guess its just the atmosphere you're in while drinking that makes smoking more appealing. When I was quitting to smoke I also would limit myself to parties and such. But then I realized it was just an excuse to continue puffing away, and nothing more...so I stopped all together.

Now its only an occasional cigar when reading a good book or something (at most once a month).

I used to smoke a cigar when drinking. I don't know why... there is some sort of strange appeal to it.

yech, I hate cigars. I can't stand the taste. I'm in the process of quitting. I've tried many times before. I quit for two weeks, smoke for a week, quit for two more weeks, etc. There's no point in trying to quit straight out.

I have no idea why anyone would drink or smoke, especially why they would even apply a rule like "I only smoke when I drink" - it makes no sense. I am glad that smoking in public will soon be illegal.

Also, want to know what is disturbing? When I used to go to high school I would have to take a train down town. Once you get to the city centre you see adult men and women walking around with zip-lock bags walking around to the front of buildings ash-trays and taking the butts' of the cigarettes. How disgusting and stupid, eh?

We all have our fixes. Smoking in public will never be illegal except for inside a few businesses. But even most of those will still have smoking sections.

You could sat that many things make no sense, but they are just part of life. Like mentioned before there is this certain appeal about drinking and smoking and having a good time with people who do the same. For example, when I did smoke only while drinking, I could not resist it esspecially when playing card with my buddies. It just feels good...even now, smoke free, I miss it.

I know that smoking is bad, and alll that jazz....but still, there is this sort of attraction to it. Thats why now I love to puff away at a good cigar and read a half decent book...it helps me relax tremendously...

I also, about twice a month smoke shisha/hookah (Arabic tobacco) which has a variety of flavors that you can pic from. I'm a big fan of apple and orange....if you guys have never tried it you should...the device looks like a bong.

Most of my friends that only smoke when they drink say that it just helps to settle your stomach when you’re pounding away at obscene amounts of liquor.

When I first quit smoking the hardest thing to do was to drink and not light one up. These days, it doesn't bother me at all though. It's probably all the second hand smoke I get from being in the bars, it's a nice even balance

I started out just smoking while partying...now sometimes I'll smoke one when I'm driving around late at night just listening to tunes, it's very relaxing once and a while...but i've noticed when i get stressed I tend to want em more. But hey as long as I can handle it why the hell not right?

If someone is under 18, here in Calgary, they cannot be inside of a business if smoking is allowed. In the year 2008 smoking in public, here in Calgary, will be illegal. I am very glad that it will be illegal, because since when is it the smokers' right to stand next to a non-smoker and practically force them to inhale the smoke? and it should not be the non-smokers' that have to move away from the smoke.

Tobacco is the stupidest drug on the planet. Hit the pot so hard it cracks! That's what I call relaxation!

Right... I much prefer to keep all of my faculties intact.
The word rap as it applies to music is the result of a peculiar phonological rule which has stripped the word of its initial voiceless velar stop.
