actually there's method to it. the first parameter is the number of lines, the second parameter is the number of times it occurs in a line. I suspect this was a development tool to get a bunch of text to show up so they could test word wrapping in certain conditions. And they "forgot" to remove it.

yeah Excel 97 had a "flight sim" with Voxel terrain in it. It turned out to be quite fun at times.
Excel 2000 had a 3d racing game.
