You're not supposed to drive them, you're supposed to admire them and make sure everyone knows you're classy enough to own one, then sell them and spend the money on something more useful.

Not bad for the price, and it's pretty nice looking, but I don't think that AMDs are very friendly battery-wise. Same with P4s. No way to get a Pentium Mobile/Centrino chip? Personally I wouldn't buy a newer laptop without one.

agreed. although that does look pretty sweet (how can you go wrong with a ferrari logo on the front) it wont be the greatest for battery life. I just bought a laptop with a centrino and i get 4-5 hours of battery life (thats with a small 6-cell battery) some of my freinds with out centrino's dont even bother using their laptops if theres not a place to plug it in (even having the 8-cell batteries)Originally posted by -KEN-

I dont have a laptop as of now... and arent the centrinos slow on processing... 1.4 ghz or is that range... Do you think i can get a back up of 3 hours... The site does not have more info on that...

Um, yeah, our school bought a couple hundred Acer laptops with a huge grant. They were supposed to be good. I've spent 90 minutes TRYING TO GET IT TO BOOT.

I highly agree. You do NOT want to buy from Acer. They are very well known for looking good on the outside and being crap on the inside.You don't need a reason to hate Acer.....believe me.
For example, often times I have known people who have shopped for cd-rom drives, and other drives, and they get Acer because they have amazing speeds and low prices....but after a short period of time...their hardware fails like crap.
P.S. Get a Gateway!
