    iTunes for Windows

I'd like to hear what people here think about Apple's iTunes that has recently been ported to Windows. Personally, I'm disappointed. iTunes can't tag songs even remotely as well as WMP or MusicMatch. iTunes doesn't find album art for its user. My biggest complaint is that iTunes doesn't support wma files, but I suppose that's to be expected. I think iTunes looks the best of the media players, but works the least.

Let me know what you think without flaming, please.

iTunes gives you access to the Apple Music Store.

Oh, great, ANOTHER media player. That's my two cents.

Theres ID tags. Havent used it myself but im sure they did the basic ones

Thats why people like itunes, no drm! So you actually own that file and can do what you want with it. With wma drm would find its way in and most people would leave.

mart_man, tell that to my two gigs of music in wma format.

And to some of the rest of you, what are your reasons for liking or disliking it?

I'm a Mac OS X user I've been using itunes (downloaded the newest upgrade yesturday and they're still implenting alot of new stuff all the time (atlist for mac OS X)...) for a long time I think it really rocks and I'm disapointed it got ported for windows since we all know windows and microsoft are the scum of the earth.
They say that if you play a Windows Install CD backwords, you hear satanic messages. That's nothing; play it forward and it installs Windows.

Apparently it's good. But when I installed it I noticed it keeps 2 background processes running all the time. All I require of my mp3 player is for it to play mp3s, not to hog my cpu.

I think you will find that hard to prove. THINK before you speak foolhardy one. Dont get yourself sued......Windows can hardly be described as 'scum'

Seems to be popular. It's sold one million songs in 3.5 days, according to SlashDot.

Your opinion is that Microsoft and Windows are "scum"?

    Isn't that a cliché yet?
