    partition disk without re-installing?

Hi guys/gals, i have a 20gb hard drive (just too big for me, but probably nuthin for most of you) with win2k and ntfs format. What i want to do is split the disk in half, 10gb for each logical drive. How can i do this without re-installing win2k? I know of "fips" which has worked well for me in the past with win98, but i tried it with win2k and didn't work (or did i do something wrong). Anyways, appreciate any help.

Partion Magic is what you are looking for.

Make sure to cleanup your disk, emty your trash, run scandisk and defrag first.

The reason it didn't work is because you went from a FAT16 or FAT32 to NTFS. I don't know of any way to convert NTFS to FAT32 without reformating.

Hey I was just explaining why it didn't work. I know partition magic will change partition sizes but will it allow you to change the type of FAT?
