    Hostrocket

Has anybody ever used Hostrocket? So far they are the best web host I've seen for free sites. You get 25 MB, no ads at all, CGI support, e-mail, ftp access, subdomain, bunch of tools and features, and good support. You can find it at www.hostrocket.com

Well, I needed somewhere to stick my own sit, so I signed up for the free one you describe. 25 sounds better than the 10mb I get free from my ISP.

Now, if only I had a damn clue as to how to get my stuff on there!

Wow they sound pretty good just from reading up on the main page. I think I might try them out for my soon to be up music site I'm making. Thanks for the lead ff.

Fountain: Just use FTP. For the FTP address, just use the address of your site (for example, mine is bludstayne.hostrocket.com) and for user name and password use what HostRocket gave you. I set Dreamweaver up to upload to the ftp, and it makes it really easy, I just got to click the upload to external site button and poof! it's added! I don't think HostRocket works with Frontpage Extensions, but since I switched to Dreamweaver, I could care less. I mean, there isn't a single ad, and you get a really short subdomain with 25MB of space.

Unlimited space, almost unlimited bandwidth (no 100 MB files lol), and every script you can think of like ASP.NET, PHP, Perl, and others on demand. As many MySQL databases as you want. No ads or popups, just a tiny 20 pixel high (about) banner that you can choose where to place it (read more on it there). You get a subdomain(s), you can get a real domain, and domain IP forwarding (I think thats what its called, like www.lunaruplink.com is on pagemac.com). FTP access to your site. Forums available for support (forums.pagemac.com).

    Best of all, its free.

Btw, right now there are no spots available but you can persuade him and I can help if your site rocks because I'm a close friend. Its been done before.

Better than a lot of the names floating around out there. Maybe I should change it to Spongebobsoft Interactive Gaming Productions Inc.?

edit: Fountain, was that sarcastic? If so, why? You can download free FTP clients like everywhere.

edit 2: I just remembered that if you go into the control panel, there is an online file management thingy too.
