    simple mp3 player

I have windows 2000 installed in my machine at office. Since they did not give administrative rights to me, I cannot install Winamp on my machine. So what I'm looking for is something that will have a playlist feature for my mp3s and works without installing. Pls help.

I have Windows media player 6.4 on my machine, but it does not have a playlist feature.

    thanks

    WMP 9 has playlists...

    You could stream off mp3.com

You could burn mp3 cds and play those

What happens if you ask for Winamp to be installed for you?

Or, you could just do your work like you're supposed to
    Away.

Im sure windows media player does have a playlist feature. It plays m3u's and some other format i cant remember. You just have to drag and drop the playlist on the player window.

    Goran, found a player yet?

If not, perhaps you're intrested in a home baked mp3 player.
    I made specialy for you
Nah, It just a project me and a friend are working on.
It is far for from finished but it can play a list of mp3's.

So if you want to try out Pulsar version 0.00000001 BETA
There are a few things you should know. first of all, we're not proffesional programmers, so if it crashes you're system (would surprise me, but never the less) we're not responsible

Secondly if you use the mini player, leave "always on top" checked in the settings dialogbox. if you don't, there is a chance that you'll lose the player and won't be able to stop it, unless you kill it with taskmanager. That is a known bug and we're going to solve that problem with a icon in the system tray (notification area, whatever), but for now, leave it on top (will save you alot of trouble )

and last but not least, you'll need DirectX installed, I'm not sure what version you need. you can try and see if it works . that is if you're willing to test it (understandable if you won't )

you don't need to install anything. after running the exe for the first time, it may create max two files (depending on your settings, and playlist)
one file with the playlist you last played (playlist.pul)
and one file with your settings (settings.pcf)
remove those along with the exe and there shouldn't be any evidence on the pc

also, in the miniplayer (without the volume bar) there's a litle gray box on the right, pess that to make it big again, we're missing a button there

you can download it here if you want:
