Widescreen Wall-mount HDTV Plasma or projector & screen?

I'm going to go to Best Buy tomorrow to look at these projectors.

I'm looking for something very big in the $3000 range. I want DVDs to be large(very large), and if the set could even pump up the size of a 4:3 image, that would be cool, but I already have a 36" Sony Vega Flat-glass(CRT) to do that so it's no big loss.

The wide-screen I want is this one:

I saw this in person like last weekend, and I'm like, "I gotta have it." It's big, and you can see the picture from angles unlike actual projection TVs! So, I've been putting $$ away like crazy.

Now, with the projector, and wall-screen thing that's used in schools...this will get any damn picture huge, definitely 4:3 ratio images.

In a tech school/college, the projectors they use for computer stuff(the sleek ones like the one in my link, not that old elementary school crap) is good enough for me. It's a big image(if set up right), and you can see it from almost all angles. So, pump up the quality a hair beyond what the school is using(nothing great), and there you go.

I'm just kind of stuck on trying to decide which way to go! They'll both display anything. The wide-screen is only going to shine for 16:9, not 4:3 - obviously. Whereas the 92" projection screen will blow anything up huge, even DVDs.

    Any suggestions/opinions?

I'm going to pay for it in cash, all at once.

I might not go with the projector idea for now because of Vega does 4:3 images fine, so I just need something wide-screen that's large to sit on top of my vega(the handy, thin wall-mounters) and to have it so the wide-screen picture size doesn't look TOO much larger than the 4:3. Ya know? Decent sized 4:3, then a decent sized wide-screen on top. One to make wide-screen images big since the Vega can't do it, and one to make 4:3's big since the wide-screen can't do it. It'll make trailers & DVDs look good - I'll be prepared for the future...and I can still have every 4:3 reso look good. Ultimately, I can switch back and forth easily, or run both at once!

There is a 50" plasma wall-mount widescreen I liked at best buy, but, $10,000 is a little overkill for me. I'd go projection before that.

My tech teacher has a nice projector and that alone cost him well over 3 thousand. Are you looking for just a prjector or a widescreen also?

Before you do, make the following checklist:

    1. Food in kitchen?
    2. Family not starving?
    3. Debts paid off?
    4. Any computer upgrades needed as of late?
    5. If all of the above check off, buy buy buy
