    Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

    This and MS Blast are some scary sheeit. I can't imagine what I'd do without the Internet or *gasp* electricity.

    This is pretty messed up.

    My used to handle this stuff a couple of years ago, it doesnt add up.

    3 Places are down when they make there own power. I live near one. They are not normally connected. They are only connected when a man actually goes out to the station, the computers only tell what stat there in.

    So these places should never be down. I know a couple of firemen in my town, I also have a scanner(radio). There calling back all cops from a border, something that is very odd.

    This has happened before(once in the 60s and once in the 70s), but it was from over load(they were back feeding, my dad was there).

    So something is wrong.

    Im not trying to say that its a attack, but its not one little thing.

    Plus you have to remember this stuff is old. Did you hear about the subway evacution? It was because of water. It was made in the early 1900's. The pumps used to be run by air, my dad left when they were switching to electric. There was enough money for a backup(power supply).

    This is very freaky stuff, most becuase I know people who would be dealing with this if it was a couple years ago.

    Im going to be glued to Fox News for awhile now.

    Also phones went out.

    The phone companies are required to have batter backup like a UPS for 2 hours, legaly. The Phones never shoudl of went out. The phones are more like the internet, on single point.

    Very strange.

    <edit>
    Listen to a scanner if you have one.

    Nothing to be scared off but its one of those things that should never happen.

    <edit 2>
    Now my hospital has a fire alarm activation, this will be fun.

    <edit 3>
    Now my town is having generator problems and Plattsburg doesnt sound that great. Plus every own is mixing up frequencies.

    Atleast my cable is on and decent.

    I'm at work right now, and we have a couple of huge diesel generators.

    There were quite a few lightning strikes in that area. That could have had something to do with it.

    By 'that area' do you mean the Eastern seaboard?

    The system was overloaded, and shut down.

    I think it was that there was something awry in a plant in Canada, and the NY plant shut itself down so it didn't get fried trying to support the rest of the grid.

    and Niagra flat-out denies that they've had anything to do with failures, and is calling themselves the "rock" of what power is left.

    Something happen on our side, the was black some coming from transformers.

    Those arent the little ones in toy cars, there the specialized biug boys. There kooled by special oil and have very little inside(nothing really to brake/burn). So something gave it a big enough surge to burn. It was serious.

    Plus that kind of stuff isnt fixed, its replaced. It would probally still works but it replaced for saftey.

    I love how they said its not a problem and thats what happened as they turned it off. I wish i still lived there, i probally could of got to check some of this out.

    Like I said before, there was 3 towns with out power that make there own, thats just wrong(the grids dont work like that on there own). Telephones went out, again wrong(the backups like i said before). Guess we had some new people today...

    Perspective, Im like 15 mins from that area(not where it happened but by the reservation). My part is fine.
