Hi.
Whilst listening to friends and family etc, I realised that none of them goes on holiday in the UK anymore.
Cheap packages to Spain/Greece etc seem to be the way.
Do you know there are thousands of beautiful and interesting places in the UK that this young generation dont even know exist? Thats bad in my book.
See, I am not against soddding off to Ibiza or whatever, but I believe people should actually see things that exist almost on their doorstep. I cant believe it is all about 'the weather being poor'. For example Cornwall is very hot a lot of the year, has crystal clear blue sea, a glorious party/surf town (Newquay) and more years of history than the US has burgers Also people think it is cheaper to go abroad. I believe it used to be, but now the difference is slimmer-unless you have loads of kids maybe.
What I want to know is if you live in US, do you go to different countries? The vastness of the US means (I guess) that you can go somewhere sunny/somewhere cold and still be in your home country.
I know of some people who were amazed when they discovered 'the real' UK. So much so they now wish to see the rest. Does anybody else have a (sensible) view on this?
