XP - But I think I actually prefer the DOS based version like 95 and 98. I really gotta get Linux....

    I like my XP.

Do you mean what you use at home? Work? How about both?

I'm like Cheez - except I don't have a real job.... They should set it up so you can select multiple options on a poll.

My personal computer is 95. My family one is XP. I got an old Toshiba Sattelite Pro that I'm going to try and fix up and put freeBSD on it.

Win98 SE. Sorry gotta have my DOS mode so I can tinker with all of my assembly code that is going to take over the world.

My dad has XP and when I'm over there it seems to do ok. Other than the fact that his reboots consistently for no reason. Re-installed the thing, too, and went back to FAT32 (NTFS was somewhat slower to me) and it still goofs up.

WinMe was crappppppppppppp. It gave me sooooo many problems.

XP has been good for me, no major problems yet.

I had the same problem, it was my network drivers, they needed to be updated. That seemed to fix it.

bubba, perhaps a hardware problem? Mine's been great. XP home. If you try running a different windows version on his machine you may still see the same thing. Just a thought.

Thanks all. I'll check into that. Replaced the power supply thinking it was a power problem. No go.

No major problems for me with XP, but very often a grey rectangle with no features will show up and cover 95% of the desktop. Had the same problem with 98 though.
