Say that after your first sexual experience on your wedding night's a complete disaster.
Hey, I wouldn't expect it to be perfect the first time, but marriage is about more than sex -- correlcj, I love your definition of a soulmate, that's just what I mean! Besides, I'm sure the really good stuff will come in time as you gain experience with your spouse

codegirl sometimes everything can be fantastic, and you'll finally have sex, and no matter how many times you do it, you and your partner just won't 'click'. You don't want to be married to a person you don't sexually 'click' with.

Blackrat, they won't tell you when they're imported, but they will tell you when they are locally grown.

Maybe a neighbor is tossing leaf clippings on your lawn, looking at your woman, or harboring desires regarding your longboat. You enslave his children, set his house on fire. He shall not bother you again.

BR - Normally if the strawberries or whatever are from MI, they'll say it.

codegirl - Of course there's more to dating and marriage than just sex. I wouldn't be with my girlfriend if I didn't love spending time with her and everything. I'm just saying don't get your hopes up for your first time. If you're willing to hold out until marriage, then good for you, most people see something noble about that. I didn't see the point, but that's just me. I hope it works out for you, though.

codegirl, for what its worth I did not have your ideals before marriage and I wish I did. I very much regret that. I applaud you for your stand. Bravo! Stay strong.

PROTIP: Your "first time" may seem special before you get there, but it's usually not and it's usually not very good. It's just the way it is.
Second that. Waiting for honeymoon for your first time is probably just going to ruin that. However, as there obviously is only one "first time", noone has a comparison to his or her own decision. Everyone just has one experience with nothing to weight it against. While I don't think waiting for marriage is getting you anywhere, I have to say that waiting for love in my oppinion ( though I don't have a experience to the contrary to compare to ) is very well worth it. Waiting for marriage is a huge goal, but waiting for love might be a good middle way.

I wouldn't call someone immoral because s/he has slept with a lot of people. It's about fun and/or love and as long as she wasn't cheating on someone, there is no harm done. ( And in this special case, "two" is faaaaaar from "a lot of" ).

But of course we all make mistakes and do things we regret later... Anyway, elchulo, there's nothing wrong with you being concerned that your girlfriend is not a virgin. I would encourage you to get to know her a little better and find out why she slept with those guys, whether she regrets it, etc... if you both have similar opinions about sex, then that's a good sign that you will be able to work this out.

What? I can tell you asking somebody if they regretted shagging people prior to you is a BIG mistake.

Why should she regret it? To make up for the fact on your wedding night she wont be a virgin?

Find out why she slept with those guys? Ummm maybe she wanted to!

The only sense in what you have said about waiting for your wedding night (which you missed) is the simple fact that you always remember your first time , so therefore I guess it would be handy if it was your husband.

    Such is life.

All things aside, if you've proposed to someone and she said yes, and then she says, "Oh yeah. I've had sex with two other guys", would you marry her? seriously

I'm a human and I have a gender, and I quite like the whole human sex thing.
Considering how large industries such as pornography are, I don't think I'm alone.

Surgery is pretty gross too but I don't think we should stop doing that, because again, I'm not an objective observer, and I see the act of surgery as the life saver it is.

    Ethic your argument is flawed.
    Strawberries, surgery. Come on...

And I didn't say sex in general was disgusting. Freakin' A! I said
sleeping around was disgusting. There's a difference, and it's
huge. Jeez, look at Christina Aguilera and tell me that you don't
    want to vomit.

If you want to apply this to your strawberry analogy (brilliant,
by the way; whoever made it should have pursued a career in
philosophy), then let's talk about strawberries in excess. Eat
500, potentially chlamydia-infected berries and tell me that doesn't
make you queazy. It does. A strawberry with chlamydia? Eew.

Let's apply it to the surgery analogy. Surgery in excess is also
disgusting. Haven't you ever seen pictures of that rich lady who
looks like a cat because she's had so much plastic surgery? Have
you ever seen a picture of Michael Jackson? Creepy. Even fake
boobies are creepy and gross. Of course, I wouldn't expect you
people to agree with me about the boobies; I think a lot of you
are too superficial for that. But it is creepy. Surgically inserting an
object into your body for the sole purpose of getting attention?
    Creepy. Wierd. Disgusting.

I don't like the analogy method of debating. It's stupid, some things
can't be related to each other. Strawberries and sexual promiscuity...
    Whatever.

I don't even care about this issue. I just like arguing. I don't think
it matters what I believe, because I probably would have chosen
to be on the opposite side of you people, anyway.

I think I'm done replying to this thread. It's getting annoying. It's
just like my Greedy Teachers thread; I'm severely out-numbered
in my opinion. I don't care about that, though. I just don't want
to reply to 20 different people everytime I make a post. You guys
    are like a gang.

I know it'll be frustrating if you plan on replying to any of my above
comments, but it's just leading to my frustration. I'm sorry. Oh,
keep in mind that saying anything to me, or about me in this
thread will be considered by me as behind-the-back trash-talkin'
and will lead to a virtual kicking.

For example: ::kicks Clyde::. Feel my wrath.

    Peace out.

I don't agree, and I can explain why having multiple sexual
partners is immoral. And despite what a lot of you people think,
there are some fundamental aspects of morality that don't change.
It doesn't matter if the practice is socially accepted or not, that
practice can still be considered immoral; which is where Clyde is
wrong. Or maybe it's where he's right. I don't know, his paragraphs
    confused me.

Actually ethic, morals are a set up "rules" made up by society. Ethics is something you believe in very deep in your heart. So I think you might be confusing the terms, if something is accepted by the vast mayority of a society, then it is not inmoral. That is all.

BTW, I would also love to hear some other girls opinion on this. If they think they "first guy" is the most important one of all, or the one she'll remember most, or the first time she does it with someone she really loves with, sort of which would be more special.

There were until about March 14 of this year. Women everywhere, fawning over every piece of code written and every debate about which game console was the best. Blondes, redheads, brunettes, and the webmaster's personal fetish, bald chicks were all represented in force. Many of them learned to code, and many of them were just coding groupies.

Those of us lucky enough to be named "moderator" were fed grapes as we dictated programs to nubile young women. Newbies were strung up by their wrists and beaten with reeds until they learned to stop arguing. Trolls were placed under bridges in other communities, far from this one.

Then, one day, they all disappeared. Something, we don't know what, scared them off. A darkness fell over the land and chaos reigned supreme. The water turned into Milwaukee's Best and wine turned into Milwaukee's Best Light () The grapes withered, died, and turned into raisins. They grew arms, legs, and minds, started a music group, and left, never to be heard from again.

    You jerk.

Which is why I stopped moderating the contests.
