That's too bad. I haven't really been able to get a chance to read much lately, either. I read an Elmore Leonard novel while I was camping, but that's all I've read for fun in months. I tried to read the LOTR books again, but I realized I really don't like Tolkien's style. Just my opinion. The story's cool and I love the movies, but I don't like his writing style.

it's true, you have to pay close attention to catch what's going on. He tends to pay way to much attention to detail at the expense of story telling.

Yeah, I think that's about what I thought. That said, I can't wait for ROTK to come to theaters (and for the expanded edition of TTT. I haven't heard hardly anything about this, but the guy at Blockbuster told me it should be out in November, kinda like FOTR)

I still enjoy it though. I will probably not read them a second time after I'm done with ROTK.

with the movies, I had run out and bought FOTR in the first release. I wasn't too happy to find out about an expanded version. I'm not ready to buy it again for the extra scenes. Seems like a waste of money for me. Perhaps I'll wait for TTT expanded version though.

I dunno, I only paid $20 for the expanded edition of FOTR, which was like $2 more than the normal version was going for at the time.

that's fine if you don't already have the normal version. I just didn't want to pay twice for the same movie

The Lord of the Rings is a very nice movie trilogy. The graphics where very nice and the actors fit well, other than the white wizard who in my opinion did a horrific job at being evil. I loved the long fight scence in the second one at the end at the keep. The books well...good plot. But the author is just a little hard to keep up with. A fanatasy series I have read over and over is a series by Terry Goodkind. The series is the "sword of truth series". Which is one of the most captivating books I have ever read.

wow! I couldn't disagree more. Christopher Lee is Dracula for crying out loud! He looks pretty darn evil to me. Even during the scenes before you were supposed to know he was evil you got a suspicious feeling about him. I thought he made a great Saruman.

but opinions are good, opinions are our friends. ygfperson loves opinions.

People love opinions on this board, . I just think he was a little too cheeze in his role sometimes. It might have just been his script but he just didn't seem to pull it off for me. The guy who played Gandolf did a rather nice job however.

I'm still hungry . Quiznos is out, they never listen to what I want at the place closest to me. Plus, the line starts right by the rest room, and there's only room for like 3 people at most. It's weird. I think they did it all backwards - they could learn something from subway. You start near the front door and then go down, not the other way you morons!

::sigh:: Maybe I'll just go to subway. The people there actually have my order more or less memorized . That's the downside to having your kitchen under construction, I haven't eaten a good home-cooked meal in a while.

Actually, now I'm in the mood for teryaki chicken breast. Flannigans/Guppy's (whatever the hell it's called where you live) here I come! Hmm...although I should probably invite a friend so I don't look like a total loser.
