No, I didn't eat, yet. Just needed a fresh drink. I don't get lunch until 11:30 (I'm in the same time zone as you)
Yeah, some women streaking. Apart from that, no.
Anyways, curry is great, imo, its one of my fav meals.
Damn I wish mountain dew was as popular over here, our vending machine doesn't have it.
I've just been given a few choc bars by someone, that'll be my dessert :)
Lunch was HOURS ago, man! Its now 15.50, only another hour before home time. I ate lunch at 12, I couldn't wait any longer, I was just tooo darn hungry.
hammer you sound lonely.:(
damn it, that was 1000th post! I should have paid more attention.
anyway, it was worth it. Hammer has nobody to make him ham and egg sandwiches. It's so sad.
Nah, there's plenty of people here, but if I keep my head down, I get to post on here for fun.... eerrrm, I mean do valuable internet research. ::looks over shoulder cautiously::Quote:

Hey, fyb's into quadruple digits! Congratulations, big guy!
At the rate Salem's going, I bet he hits 10000 by October.
Anyone read any good books lately? I started reading the Gunslinger for the third time yesterday, in anticipation of the new book coming out in November. Just sat on my deck, drank beer, watched the sunset, read, and talked to my girlfriend on the phone. It was a good night.
Sorry in advance for getting back to topix that matter...
I suppose I can accept that. It's an opinion, after all. Not that I like it.Quote:

You shouldn't say something like this without offering proof. What about history books makes them bad? And what's wrong with diversity?Quote:
no, we lean everything but our history. and of course altered history. pinko diversity.
I've been working on Return of the King. Of course reading opportunities have been few and far between so its not going so well.
Opinions are good, opinions are our friends. You like opinions, you just don't want to admit it. ygf, what are you having for lunch today?;)Quote:

You're not going to get any besides "Everyone knows that, and if you don't accept it, you're a liberal pinko commie person"Quote:

Anyways, back to the topics that really matter.
>I've been working on Return of the King. Of course reading opportunities have been few and far between so its not going so well.
That's too bad. I haven't really been able to get a chance to read much lately, either. I read an Elmore Leonard novel while I was camping, but that's all I've read for fun in months. I tried to read the LOTR books again, but I realized I really don't like Tolkien's style. Just my opinion. The story's cool and I love the movies, but I don't like his writing style.
it's true, you have to pay close attention to catch what's going on. He tends to pay way to much attention to detail at the expense of story telling.
Yeah, I think that's about what I thought. That said, I can't wait for ROTK to come to theaters (and for the expanded edition of TTT. I haven't heard hardly anything about this, but the guy at Blockbuster told me it should be out in November, kinda like FOTR)
I still enjoy it though. I will probably not read them a second time after I'm done with ROTK.
with the movies, I had run out and bought FOTR in the first release. I wasn't too happy to find out about an expanded version. I'm not ready to buy it again for the extra scenes. Seems like a waste of money for me. Perhaps I'll wait for TTT expanded version though.
I dunno, I only paid $20 for the expanded edition of FOTR, which was like $2 more than the normal version was going for at the time.
that's fine if you don't already have the normal version. I just didn't want to pay twice for the same movie
Oh, I get it. That makes sense.
ATTENTION: I AM NOW BEGINNING MY LUNCH. THANK YOU.
The Lord of the Rings is a very nice movie trilogy. The graphics where very nice and the actors fit well, other than the white wizard who in my opinion did a horrific job at being evil. I loved the long fight scence in the second one at the end at the keep. The books well...good plot. But the author is just a little hard to keep up with. A fanatasy series I have read over and over is a series by Terry Goodkind. The series is the "sword of truth series". Which is one of the most captivating books I have ever read.
so, is anyone working in a company that wants to hire a programmer? Not that I'm looking (I think people could be watching this board:mad: ).
ATTENTION: I HAVE COMPLETED MY LUNCH. IT WAS GOOD.
wow! I couldn't disagree more. Christopher Lee is Dracula for crying out loud! He looks pretty darn evil to me. Even during the scenes before you were supposed to know he was evil you got a suspicious feeling about him. I thought he made a great Saruman.Quote:

People love opinions on this board, ;) :D . I just think he was a little too cheeze in his role sometimes. It might have just been his script but he just didn't seem to pull it off for me. The guy who played Gandolf did a rather nice job however.
I'm still hungry :(. Quiznos is out, they never listen to what I want at the place closest to me. Plus, the line starts right by the rest room, and there's only room for like 3 people at most. It's weird. I think they did it all backwards - they could learn something from subway. You start near the front door and then go down, not the other way you morons!
::sigh:: Maybe I'll just go to subway. The people there actually have my order more or less memorized :). That's the downside to having your kitchen under construction, I haven't eaten a good home-cooked meal in a while.
Actually, now I'm in the mood for teryaki chicken breast. Flannigans/Guppy's (whatever the hell it's called where you live) here I come! Hmm...although I should probably invite a friend so I don't look like a total loser.
> Flannigans/Guppy's
We do not have those here. Please tell me everything about them and give me relevant links.
Eibro knows what you should eat.Quote:

eibro wants -ken- to eat eibro? or maybe I misunderstood.
Thanks, eibro - while I could go for a sausage, I think I'm in the mood for a burger now. Subway takes too long.
PS: It's 2:30 and I still haven't eaten. I got suckered into minority report, and then a rerun of Futurama.
Oh well. Off to BK. I'll give you Guppy's links when I get back, cheez :)
Yum...that was good.
You know, I must have done something right today, because when I got back Family Guy was on. Family Guy + Futurama + BK = Bliss.
Cheez: I can't find any links. Oh well. It's a Bar & Grill type of place, with food that's actually pretty good. I would guess they've got good seafood too, but I don't eat that. Bleh.
my old history book had less than a page on washington but more or less a complete chapters on every one else revolutions(French, latin, commey, nazi, some nationalism(like indian’s)).Quote:

basically not a lot of american history. we should learn the past, but theres none of our past. if the authors of the text book have to be one sides they could of at least mentioned the us more times.
with the diversity part, i was just poking fun of the people that like todays textbooks. they want “diversity”, which means nothing american, since its not nice to say.
lets just keep the thread going offtopic, its turning out better this way.
this scares me. if he threw in simpsons id completely agree.Quote:

Malcom in the Middle is funny too. Franky Munez (sp?) is one of the funniest people I have heard.
Not to go horribly off of the off-topicness, but you realize that you're 14, right? And you're probably just about to go into highschool? I'm going into my junior year and I'm just starting American History. See, all of the other history is a little bit on X country, a little bit on Y country...then you get an entire class for American History, so if anything you learn more about that than all of the others.Quote:

I hear that the original topic is HISTORY!!!!!
anyway, here's something really cool to look at. It seems someone did some kind of strange ascii capture of the matrix and animated it with javascript. Check it out!

nope. try again.Quote:

i think i said how old i was a couple times here(on cboard, not this thread).
FillYourBrain, i sawthat link a couple of days ago, thats insane. looks pretty good too. i still want matrix 2 on dvd. i cant wait till all 3 are in a box set.
Well, regardless of how old you are, you're still wrong.
Anyway, yeah FYB, that's kinda cool.
Wow I have never seen a thread go so off topic onto such a useless subject...
Applauds
I'm somewhat proud of that fact ;) It's not often that these "derailments" can gather such steam but when you have the blessings of a mod (thanks GC) it becomes possible.Quote:

Lets face it. We are a board with people from many nations. People with very different ideals. Political talk between us is a fairly bias filled, wasteful venture.

ouch, after taking forever to open the page, my computer froze up! did that happen to anyone else?
No, all was fine. But then I wasn't on here anyway, so I guess my answer isn't valid :D
So, govt, when is Ober getting hitched then, has he set the date? I take it he knows my plane tickets are going to cost him a small fortune?
I owe almost $270 in back taxes for 2002. They're due on July
17th. $270 isn't something I can afford right now, so I won't
be paying them. If I stop posting sometime next week, that
means that the IRS has put me in prison.
Alright, I'll make a note of that.Quote:

I talked to him last night; either April 23rd or the 24th, I can't remember.
you're willing to go to prison for $270? Jeezz. Sell your car or something. Sell a lot of junk on Ebay or something. you can make up 270 pretty quick
Do you want to know what's really embarassing? When you're
stopped at a red light, and someone with the exact same car
as yours pulls up beside you. Same model, same color, same
year... Very embarassing, I felt like an idiot.
Happened to me about an hour ago. Thankfully they turned
left, or I may have had to have gone home and change.
>You can make up 270 pretty quick.
No, I can't. That's a lot of money. I can't sell any junk, because
everything I own is rad.
>> Thankfully they turned left, or I may have had to have gone home and change.
Change....your car...?
he can change cars but can't come up with $270? interesting.:p
I'm going to wait until July 25th before I see 28 Days Later.
