No idea what you're talking about, and before someone tries to enlighten me let me add, I have no wish to.

    Smells like a troll.

    The uranium thing?

I think it's being blown out of proportion and it was an honest mistake. I think it's lame that the CIA's being used as a scapegoat.

I third the troll nomination, too.

We appreciate your insight. You can get your tinfoil hat in the room down the hall.

Seriously, if you don't have anything more constructive to say than that, just don't post.

edit: And your avatar sucks, ripoff artist.

he went somewhere and made a speach

    (This gets a little graphic...))

Where he pretty much told them to stop doing each other up the butt. And in China there is a huge condom statue now up above a city.

I assume Zahid is talking about the whole Iraq thing and weapons of mass destruction bit. As usual Zahid makes little or no sense, and I (whatever the last nomination number was +1) the troll thing.

Anyways, the rest of the world (myself included) seemed to support waiting until clear, concise, and sufficient evidence could be accumulated to justify going to war. Heck, I'm not even a (peace loving) hippie (it's good to have a bad guy to beat down every once in a while), but the most reasonable thing to do seemed to be to at least justify the costly war (cost in $, lives, and possibly re-election for this d00d).

And now someone at the CIA is taking the blame for this. However Mr. Bush is evidently "forgiving" him. Forgiving? Wtf! You know what that says to me? It says "Thank you Mr. CIA person for taking the fall for me". I mean come on, if it was really the CIA guy's fault he'd lose his job in a second! What really happened was Bush believed what he wanted to believe without listening to the CIA (Christians In Action!).

I swear to christ there needs to be a mandatory test to become a member here.

    1) I wasn't replying to zahid, I was talking to Zack, and you can tell that because I quoted him at the top of my post.

    2) The SotU messup wasn't about wmds, at least not on a general level that would have prevented the war. In his speech, Bush mentions that Iraq tried to buy uranium for weapons from Niger. These aren't the same weapons we said they had and went to war over. This is different. Anyways, this was based on faulty information collected. The CIA cleared the president's speech before it was given, saying that the information was accurate. Since then it's come to light that the information was wrong and (I'm pretty sure) the evidence was fabricated, and badly, at that.

It was some speach in another country about aids. And I here is the condom thing.

    BEIJING (Reuters)
A bright yellow condom covered the facade of a 20-story, phallic-shaped hotel in the southern Chinese city of Guilin to mark U.N. World Population Day in the most populous nation on the globe, the hotel manager said Saturday.

"Our hotel is very round," said the manager of the three-star Fragrant River Hotel, who declined to give her name. "The initial plan was to cover the whole building, but because the wind was so strong they could only cover the front half."

The Guilin Latex Company has applied to the publishers of the Guinness Book of World Records to recognize their giant condom, 260 feet tall and nearly 330 feet around, as the world's biggest, the Xinhua news agency said.

The company joined local birth control officials in Guilin Friday to promote contraception, distributing free condoms and brochures to passers-by, it said.

The semi-official China News Service said the condom had cost more than $24,000 to display and carried the message: "Control population growth, pay attention to sexual health, prevent AIDS."

Despite Beijing's strict one-child policy, an attempt to halt ballooning growth of the country's 1.3 billion population, it is only in recent years that the Chinese have felt able to discuss sexual health in public.

International experts and local activists say that more publicity and government leadership was needed to avert an AIDS catastrophe in China. Beijing says that around one million of its people suffer from HIV, the virus that causes the disease.

Also, if you want to get really, really nitpicky and technical, Bush was telling the truth in his address, since he said "The British government" had the intelligence, which was apparently the truth.

Of course, following that logic, he could've said "Govtcheez tells me the moon is made of butter" and still be making an accurate remark.

I don't know. I think I was just rambling a little. Its still interesting. In GA we have a big chicken that people use to navigate around. (I.e 2 blocks east of the big chicken) Chineese people will be using the big condom like that. "Err. Its 2 blocks north of the condom, take a right and its the 3rd building on the left"
