Why do people get grossed out over fake-meat products? I've
actually seen someone (and have actually done it myself) gag
over a veggie burger. I don't know why this happens. The
stuff that makes up a veggie-patty isn't nearly as icky as the stuff
that makes up a hamburger patty.
Oh, I'm not a vegetarian, I eat meat. It's just odd... You'd think
that real meat would be the thing that makes someone gag.
I've tried to eat a non-meat burger before. I couldn't do it. It
didn't taste bad, so I don't know why it almost made me sick.
It's just the thought... But why? Why does that thought make
me gag, and the thought of a dead cow not?
The only meatless product I've ever liked are Chik Nuggets. I actually
preferred them over real chicken nuggets. Sometimes, while eating
a real chicken nugget, I would come across a translucent cube of
some strange substance; chicken fat or something. The fake-
chicken nuggets are almost perfect. I don't think I'd even be
willing to eat a fake hotdog. That's just gross...
Ooh, and milk. Why do people get grossed out about human
milk, but not cow milk? If there were two cups of milk on the
table: one from a female human, and one from a cow -- people
are going to take the one that comes from a cow. You'd think that
the concept of drinking a fluid that is excreted from the teat of
a completely different species would be a lot more disgusting
than drinking the milk from a human female. I mean, human milk is
suppose to be consumed by humans; granted, it's for the the
female's offspring, but the same thing goes for cows -- the cow's
milk is for the cow's offspring, not humans. ::shivers with disgust::
I haven't been able to drink (cow) milk since I was in 6th grade. I
remember seeing a report on the news that said because of
hormones that are given to the cows, sometimes there may be
pus in the milk.
Don't even get me started on eggs...
