    That's
why the grunge movement of the early-mid 90s was the greatest
thing that had ever happened in music.
Overstatement of the year. I can think of 20 more things that had a bigger impact, like the invention of the guitar.

Your little metal bands may be the most skilled musicians around.
They may be experts in theory and have more dexterity than
anybody from any other genre, but that doesn't mean they're
aritists; it doesn't mean they're any good at writing music or
    lyrics, because they're not.
So what? It sounds good. What more could I ask for?

I'm sorry to say this, but music sucks today because of people like
you. That's not meant to be insulting, it's just that you can't seem
to grasp the fact that music is an art, not a science. Good music
doesn't follow formulas or rely on the appearance of the performer
to be accepted. Like any other art, music is suppose to be about
creative expression and empathy, not technical ability. That's
why the grunge movement of the early-mid 90s was the greatest
thing that had ever happened in music.

You have a mullet, don't you?

    >So I know what I'm talking aboot.

    Bleh, Canadians...
I disowned Canada thank you. And from skill on the guitar comes good music. You can have all the emotion and creativness you want. But if your good your good. A solo comes from technichal stuff. From the technical stuff you alter your solo as your emotion thinks it should. And everything sounds the same. All rock is the same. All punk is the same. Country. The same. Blues. The same. there is only so much you can do on a guitar. You have a 6 by 22 (maybe 24) fret guitar. Noone with any sence will solo on the E of the A string. Mabe the occasional time you go there. But you can play it a string lower by moving back 5 frets. So you have a 4 by 22 fretboard. you don't play random notes. Solos are all based off of a scale and/or a chord. It is all the same in the end.

Don't pretend to know what you're talking about when it comes
to music. You listed Creed as one of your favorite bands. That's
just unacceptable, and your opinion on music can never be taken
    seriously again.

    >>So what? It sounds good. What more could I ask for?

Obviously nothing. Music must not affect you the same way it
affects me. It's nothing but background noise to you.

    >>Some crap about a guitar by a Zakk Wylde male-groupie.

Nobody's impressed that you know stuff about a guitar. It's
the most common instrument on the planet. 95% of the freaking
country plays the guitar, you're not a unique person.

Edit: Okay, I don't speak for other people; I didn't mean "nobody"
literally. Maybe there are people that are impressed by your
knowledge of the guitar, but I'm not and those people are stupid.

    >>I have short hair.

With long hair in the back; i.e. a mullet.

    >>And from skill on the guitar comes good music

Wrong. The two have nothing to do with each other. You're wrong.
You're wrong about everything. You're never right, and you're
never going to be right. No matter what you say about anything,
you'll always be wrong. For the rest of your life!!!

    >>A solo comes from technichal stuff.

No, it does not. You're not even making sense.

I like Creed's first album. It's pretty good.

and your opinion on music can never be taken
    seriously again.
    It doesn't matter to me.

    Exactly my point.

Nope. Its short all around. Its somewhere around a number 2 (with the elecric thing) and then it lengthens out to maybe a 3 or 4 on top. Its like a buzz just a little longer

well heres my take on the whole "technical == better" thing..imo, wacking off on a guitar isn't too emotional or whatever. kirk hammet isnt the most techincal guitarist, but his solos have more emotion in them than any wankers could fit into theirs. speed doesnt equal good. like petrucci for example...yeah hes a great guitarist, but him shredding doesnt really add to a song for me. complex doesnt always equal great too. look at the misfits and ramones, simple riffs, but they're music still kicks major ass. alot of guitarists overuse effects, but i think zakk wylde just completely ruins stuff. for the for BLS its ok, but take the bark at the moon solo..listen to RR play it or even jake e. lee, you can feel it, then zakk comes in and rips ass all over it, it ruins it. but if it sounds good, then its good. no one cares how complex it is. if you just look at how complex music is and judge it on that, i think you should stop listening to music.

You think Zakk ruins Bark at the Moon? I think hes awsome at it. Just because he uses harmonics allot and changes it some doesn't mean he sucks at it. He has surpassed Randy in his time with Ozzy. (Although Randy won't be forgotten)

**Edit note-- After picking up a Guitar World (March 03) Zakk would be on the cover. And Guitar World also named Zakk MPV of the year.

Emotion? Zakk's not Rany so it's not going to be the same. But he does a damn good job at it. End of story. Zakk doesnt ruin songs. No more insulting of my hero or I will go through the moniter and take out your eyes.

megadeth is eh..theyre a wanna-be metallica. guitars sound too thin for my liking, along with some mucho cheesy lyrics. i do really like rust in peace though.

well IMO zakk ruins RRs stuff. whateve remotion randy put into it , zakk totally kills it. also the other thing i dont like about zakk is his whole "i am metal man" attitude, i mean come on, grow up. yeah , hes an amazing guitarist and all, but he acts pretty stupid sometimes.

Dude. He hangs out with the best metal guitarist. Hes in a 2 huge metal bands. Hes an awsome guitarist. I'm tired of the emotion thing. You probably haven't even seen him live. He's just a hell raising beer drinking guitarist who owns!
