Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

New "punk" is a joke. And whats with punk bands have the "The" in the front of all of their names. Its annoying. They also have no talent either.

Agreed with the first part, but I'm having trouble thinking of new punk bands with "the" in front of their names...

I count... mmmm one band I'd consider punk in that list (The Offspring, and they're not really punk anymore)... Maybe the Vines, but that's stretching.

The Who and The White Stripes sure as hell aren't punk, and both bands have boatloads of talent.

He said The Vines (you could throw in The Strokes and The Hives, too), but I still don't think they're punk.

Ewwww, The Donnas... Not punk, and again, ewwww

The Ataris... Yeah, they're new punk or whatever, and they suck, so I'll agree with that. Their cover of Boys of Summer isn't bad, though.

Meh, I'll stop now - categorizing music into genres is totally impossible to do consistently.
