Zakk Wylde is one of my favourite guitarist along with Dave Mustaine and Kirk Hammit
metallica is my fav band though (note cliff in my av). i like the new album, but def not as good as the first 5.
i listen to some punk too, but not any of the new stuff thats out there..mainly ramones, misfits, operation ivy, rancid, dropkick murphys (if they can be classified as punk). but otherwise, metal up your ass!

I love Zakks style. I think he makes BLS what it is. Without him there would be no BLS. You can never sing too much about beer. But if we want to talk about the greatest guitarists I will name them.

Although Sum 41 isn't the best band I met their bassist (Whats his name?) in Atlanta and hes pretty cool. They live like they are a metal band.

I saw this rad PBS show last night. Anyway, there was this
artist.. First he painted a huge picture of Lennon very fast. Then
he did a picture of Jimi. The picture sucked, but still looked semi-
like Jimi. He said it was "Jimi on a bad day." Ooh, then he went
back to the picture and turned it upside down, blow! It was Jimi
in a different pose. It was so radical. The artist's name is Denny

I met his wife when I was in 9th grade. Well, I'm pretty sure it
was his wife. And technically, I didn't really "meet" his wife as
much as I "saw" his wife... NBC was filming a movie right by my Jr.
High (it was called Night Sins), and Valerie Bertinelli was there (I
think). Anyway, we cut through their set and she walked by us
(maybe it was here. I think it was). I said "What's up?", she said
nothing. My friend said "Howdy", she said "Hi." She hated me.

Kurts solos are easy. They aren't that creative. And Slashes solos are just amazingly creative and awsome.

I seriously doubt he's ever sat down and thought "what note
comes next." Unlike Slash, Kurt's solos actually have a discernable
melody.
Just because they're slow, that doesn't mean they're easy. And
even if they were easy to play, that doesn't mean they're easy
to write. I don't judge a solo on how technical it is, I judge it on
how well it conveys the emotion (I just sounded gay) of the
musician.
The solo to "Sappy" is one of the greatest solos I've ever heard.

I'm sorry to say this, but music sucks today because of people like
you. That's not meant to be insulting, it's just that you can't seem
to grasp the fact that music is an art, not a science. Good music
doesn't follow formulas or rely on the appearance of the performer
to be accepted. Like any other art, music is suppose to be about
creative expression and empathy, not technical ability. That's
why the grunge movement of the early-mid 90s was the greatest
thing that had ever happened in music.
Your little metal bands may be the most skilled musicians around.
They may be experts in theory and have more dexterity than
anybody from any other genre, but that doesn't mean they're
aritists; it doesn't mean they're any good at writing music or
lyrics, because they're not.
