sound forge for HUGE BASS for my car

I'm messing around with a program called sound forge....trying to make a really cool bass cd to blast in my car. I can't find any options to up the BASS, but in windows media play I can get it to sound really cool. How can I record, in sound forge, music coming from windows media player?

hey man, i found the best way to tune the system is to use a pure moods CD, they are so clear it makes for awsome adjustments.

Anyway, for bass u can get them offline as mp3's all over.

I would rather spend money and get some awesome computer parts and cooling to overclock those awesome computer parts, than to buy a bunch of big speakers. I'm not saying that I'm going to use factory speakers, but I won't go to extremes and buy stuff that is so loud it hurts your ears when it isn't even at full blast. The most expensive componet in my system will be the stereo unit. Then I'm going to get a sub, and replace all the factory speakers with three-ways. I might get some tweeters if the highs in the three-ways aren't good enough.

As i told you before you can let media player play and record everything medie player plays at the same time.

This is how you would do it.
    Start recording in soundforge,
starrt playing your fav song with bass in media player,
end recording when song is done,
cut out the white spaces (where there is no music beginning and end).
This method works for sure with soundforge 6.0

If you want to have heavy bass on it, you can adjust pitch using soundforge go to effects->pitch->shift
Then you shift it down, beware shifting down will set a lower tone on the overall music but will also let the music go slower.
So as long as you dont shift too much the slowing down isnt noticable, but to have a song at a normal tempo i'd suggest using the method i described using media player.

Soundforge is quite easy to handle, just fiddle around with it as you cant harm anyone by doing that.

or you could just open an equaliser and drag up the bars for the lower frequencies (i.e. bass)

But does that equaliser immediately make changes to the original file ... anyhow there are a lot of things you can do to accomplish what you want to do.
