I was going to add my 2 cents here, but nvoigt always puts it better than any of the rest of us minions.

To put it briefly, he says jump, and there's a small group of us (elected or assigned) who either jump or laugh at him, depending on our mood.

I come back from a weekend at my sister-in-laws farm with no internet access. My server is dead, I'm ........ed off, I come to see what goes on in GD - I am happy, regardless of my personal state, the crap continues.

What...were you worried that in your absense that GD would spout meaningful threads followed up by witty replies?

I think it would be an idea to send the contents of the whole GD board into deep space....then if some sort of distant intelligence were to discover it, they would take one look and decide; "Now there's a planet I dont wish to invade".
