    What do you listen to?

Hmm..what do programmers listen to really?

I aint a programmer, just wondering if you guys enjoy the same stuff that would someday make me deaf

Been listening to this since I was in high school.

    Anyway, here's my list:

    Prototype
    Sentenced
    In Flames
    Helloween
    Hammerfall
    Overkill (esp. their old stuff)
Metallica (upto "Metallica"- their other newer CDs bore me to death)
    Sonata Artica
    Nevermore
    Nightwish (a bit slow tho)
    Steel Prophet

    etc etc

    Also
Blackmore's Night (very good easy listening)
Acher Tasmin (hmm...how did I end up listening to her??)

I don't like In Flames. I have a couple friends who do, but I hate their stuff. The older Metallica stuff is good (I couldn't stand to finish listening to the new CD... got through 2 1/2 tracks). Sonata Artica is quite decent...here's my list:

    Dredg (oh yeah)
    Nirvana
    Ben Folds Five
    Counting Crows
    Eve 6
    Incubus
    Jimmy Eat World
    Live
    Marillion
    Matchbox 20
    OAR
    REM
    RHCP
    Smashing Pumpkins

    and I could continue, but I won't.
    Away.

Well, IMO In Flames' The Jester Race is their best to date.
Maybe you should try that one

i liked whoracle better, but jester race is also excellent.

i liked the new met album. as an album by itself, it was pretty good. as a met album, it was decent. i think it was just a 'breaking in' album, next album should be much better

Wow, you all listen to some pretty crappy bands, with the exception of RaTM and Beastie Boys. Linkin Park is ok. The rest are just horrible.
