Access to it? Well, I guess I could do that, but it hasn't really been neccessary until now. I do all of my programming on my computer and go online on this computer. It really is no problem. So, I can burn it to a cd and then take it up and copy the files to my comp? That's what I'll do then. Thanks.

it took me an hour at 60 k/sec with my DSL.. who knows how fast yours will go

it's called CD burning, or laplink, whichever you have/prefer.
But Fordy said "save it to a disk first". Does he mean a floppy? Too small. I'll need to burn it right away. Right?

save it to disk = save it to your hard drive as opposed to your floppy disk drive (would this be called a 'soft drive'?).
You save it to the hard drive, then you burn it onto a cd.

He means Hard disk.... i.e. Your Hard Drive.
a) Download to HD
b) Burn to CD
c) Copy from CD to other computer
Get cable access. It took me about 15 minutes to download. I get about 300 kbps or so usually. It can vary quite a bit.my question is why does it take everyone a month. I don't have cable. Here is what to do.
Start downloading
Go to bed (sleep) for a while
Wake up
Eat
Download complete.

Well, there's nothing wrong with that, but I think that I can go from a to c without having to pass b. When I click to download the file it asks to save to a disk. It finds no disk in the a drive so then it brings me the open dialog. I click on the list arrow where it says A:, C:, My Documents, etc. and one option is D: (compressed file). I'm not sure if this is my burner. There is also an E: with the same description. Isn't this it?

Nice. 15 minutes? Not bad. I'll burn to disk and then just delete the files off of this hard drive. After all, I don't want this computer to have those files. Just mine.

i'd think that E would be your burner, because D is usually your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.....
Yeh, I'm sure it's E, but why does C and E have that caption to it?
