best video card for <= $200

I'm currently looking at www.pricegrabber.com (under the computer/graphics card section) and www.newegg.com for video cards. Right now I'm looking at the radeon 9600 and the geforce4 4800 (ill probably get the former).

anyone have any comments on those two or other suggestions?

    Right now I've got a geforce2mx 400 64MB

My Voodoo 5 5500 was $300 when I bought it, then dropped to $150 2 weeks later (with the death of 3DFx)

My local PC shop (which charges at least double internet prices) has a Voodoo 2 2000 PCI on sale for $60!!!

Anyway... you can probably an ATI 9500 for less than $200, if you look around a bit. If you want to go the nVidia FX route... well, go cautiously at the 5600 and keep the 5800 in top priority. IF by some ungodly means you decide to get a 5200 make sure it is a 5200 ultra! They are generally crap cards (for the price) all around, but the ultra can be semi-competitive. Some non-DX9 cards to reccomend would be either the GeForce 4 Ti4200, or the 4800 (though this may be a bit pricey). ATI doesn't really have any DX8 cards that are competitive with the 4200, so if DX8 is ok with you, the Ti4200 is a great bargain.

    My top two picks:

ATI Radeon 9500 (non-pro soft modded to 9700/9800)
nVidia Ti4200 (easily overclockable to Ti4400 speeds)
