    Welcome

Welcome to the new board. We will be transferring the site to a new server. In order to lose as little information as possible, I have closed the old board and request that this one be used instead. Please let me know of any bugs.

Some of my posts seem to be deleted...

Others have been too, and one of my PMs is gone...
Do not make direct eye contact with me.

Unfortunately, the move lost a few hours of posts. After the transfer is complete, I'll reopen the old board so people can get anything important.

    >>why the server change?

Probably to try and fix alot of the database errors. It seemed as tho cprog was using alot of bandwidth and the server couldnt handle it. Thats my take on it.

    @ WM

Thanks for always working to improve cprog, look forward to getting into my email again : )

Yeah, I've experienced a lot of errors on this site lately. Hope they're gone now .
I've also lost some of my posts...

Eventually cboard.cprogramming.com will point to this IP, correct?

It's running fine for me. Same speed as the old server.

    Same speed for me too.

Are there going to be any additions on the new server, such as image tags to allow for pics without using the server's bandwidth, or quick reply and more smilies?

I doubt that image tags would be allowed, because it would really hurt any 56kers, and quick-reply would promote spamming.

How so, there is still a limit on how frequently you can post messages, there would also be one less page to go to, decreasing the bandwidth.

Wow, the img tags would hurt 56kers, then in a title of the thread put 56kers beware. Its not as if we will have every thread with images, it would just allow us to have some..
