What do you mean " we are so 1337 "?

Well let me clear your doubt pal.. It is actually like a contest where people are encouraged to get thorugh different levels.. Just go to the link in the first page of this thread and you will get all the info..

And i too saw that level 11 uses the present date as a cipher.. what is does is it gets the index number from the variable where the char of out string matches and it XOR's it with the present date and again goes to the index with the nuimber in the big string and selects it.. and then takes this to be the next level HTML file..

i have no idea how this can leand to a page as the next page is all dependent on the cipher gievn and the present date...

I tried something like trying to generate chars that will not change when the date also changes but that is not possible sice XOR does not work that way.. I think there is something more to it

    Any ideas any one..

And it looks like everyone used bruteforce for level 9.. and i think there is no other way..

    And something else friends:
Websites about hack and related to hacking usually are full of viruses. How can you be so sure that thst site is clear?
For example, if you give them your email, they might send you a virus.
    Who knows?

They don't require any registration, and you don't have to download any executables or anything.
Naturally I didn't feel inspired enough to read all the links for you, since I already slaved away for long hours under a blistering sun pressing the search button after typing four whole words! - Quzah

Yes, but if a page has a virus, then there is way to pass the virus to your computer.
And, if you save a page to your computer to break some passwords, then there are also possibilities to get the virus

it is NOT a page that has cracking info......................

just a harmless site so u can bust ur brain out trying to solve em by using ur hacking skills........

it;s supposed to be "fun" (although i tend to disagree.)
oh i'm sorry! i didn;t realize my fist was rushing to meet ur face!

HTML, Flash and JavaScript don't have access to your hard-drive or OS, and Java has many built-in security restrictions. Explain how a page can have a virus.

Or get a good virus scanner which checks all incoming/outgoing emails, like Norton.

this is all just low-level encryption stuff that anybody can create anyway... it's kinda like a brain-teaser game... it's only illegal if your actually breaking into someplace that doesn't want to be broken in to... the webmaster gave us permission, so it's perfectly legal... and there's no way this site could give us a virus...

    still stuck on level 9...

I don't know how to get past 11 either. I simplified the code down a bit last night, and came to the conclusion that I don't want to have to brute force it again. It seems to me that it is the only way, though. There is nothing listed for us to run backwards through the cipher to get the password...
    Away.

I might not know how it can have a virus, but i know it can, and it is not as simple as it seems to be.

    By the way:
Do you need to know JavaScript to break the passwords etc?

Ohh borther.. were are you from.. I dont know what to say.. It looks like you think people here are a bucnch of idiots who d ont know anything no offence meant..

It cannot pass virus because that is how the technology of HTML is.. and your browser which is an intrepreter will not accept files and execute them without your permission...

And you say it is not as simple as it seems.. what do you mean.. can you eplain.. and remember we have people on this board who are really good at programming and buil commerisal aps.. So there is no poiin in telling we dont know that simple thing..

It cannot pass a virsus just like that and it is a fact.. you are asking questions like what if the sky falls.. and saying sky falling is not as simple as it seems to be.. No offence here again.. i recomend you start from OS concepts which will enlighten you on how some things work on a computer..

Why do you say that? If i disagree with someone then that doesn't meen that i think he is an idiot or whatever.

    >So there is no poiin in telling we dont know that simple thing..

I don't say such a think. I just disagree man! We are having a conservation and i don't agree with something... What's the big deal? I didn't say anything against you

    Anyway
i still belive that there are ways to pass a virus in that ways..

Ok sorry if you took that in the hard way.. What er are trying to tell you that there is no way a viruc can infect your comp by just visiting an HTML page...

I dont want to argue anything more than this.. Still if you disagee it is fine.... You have a right to opinion..
