sometimes i wonder,

when i was new to the net, i used to go to sites like killfrog.com and joecartoon.com and a bunch of other cool sites.

people were heavily into flash movie making and flash game programming, people were heavily into coding/webmastering and the whole 9 yards. my future was computers, because they were getting mroe and more popular.

but lately, ive seen a dramatic decrease in the interest of what i was heavily into. Flash. killfrog.com is rarely updated, joecartoon hasn't come out with anything for a long tme, scuffmark.com is now gone, the ever growing mound of crap that goes into newgrounds.com boggs down the servers and keeps me from going there anymore.

ive also seen a dramatic decrease in the interest in programming for alot of people. I am struggling to keep my interests alive, and im doing fine about it. but for alot of people that i know

"oh, with these flash decompilers, i dont want to program in actionscript anymore, in fear people will just steal my scripts"
"i used to be a java programmer, now i dont do anything since java is becomming a dead language, and C/C++ is too hard for me to understand"
"Actionscript used to be cool, now its just boring"
"yeah i had a site, pretty cool, till every one of the staff members slowly dissapeared due to lack of interest"

these are what i hear most often.

so sometimes i wonder, with this decrease in interest latly,

do any of you think that computers will die out slowly? they will keep the world running, but due to the fall in interest... its kind of hard for me to explain what im thinking right now.

but do you think that the world will slowly become un-interested in computers? and potential carrers could be destoryed?
