    Question Recycling people?

What do you think, about recycling people?
I mean, if someone looses hi/her life he will be reduced to eg. dog/catfood.
Maby it's not so ethical, but think about that enormous amount of wasted meat.

    P.S.
    Sorry fo misspelling...

I think they should do that, but with the explicitly written permission to do so, written in the will. I mean, I'd be okay with that, but some religous groups believe in keeping the dead body sacred...But if it'll help out mankind, then go ahead, but again, with the permission of the fallen...

    My how we've evolved!
The egyptians used to kill their pets and have them mumified and buried in their tombs.
Here we are suggesting that we cut up the dead and feed our cats with the remains!
Sorry, it's been a long day.

Hey, I wouldn't care if it was me. Not like I'm going to need my body anymore at that point.

Now, killing people for food is unethical, but I'd argue that it is actually ethically REQUIRED to feed the dead to others, because with all the starvation in the world, wasting an excellent protein/fat source is wrong.

That's sick. You don't recycle people, no matter
how beneficial it is to the world. I really hope
you're all joking. Sick! Sick! Sick! Sick! You
    should be ashamed of yourselves!

    >because with all the starvation in the world,
    >wasting an excellent protein/fat source is wrong.

Just because someone is hungary, you don't force
them into cannibalism. Give them peanuts. Peanuts
    are plentiful.

On a less revolting note, scientists have been using cadavers for experiments for years. Most notably the motor-safety industry. What do you think they used before crash test dummies? I'm not saying its unethical or ethical, but the use of cadavers in this example has helped save peoples lives.

Why stop there. we could also recycle losts of things off the dead. we could chop of their hair and give it to the bald. and we could give his wife to someone who may not have one. its not as if he will need his wife anymore...
I mean c'mon guys, what are your really suggesting here, that we eat dead ppl, or even feed them to animals.

mmmm mmmm, pass the phill, is there anymore phill.. he is even good cold. Great party, thanks to phill.

i really hope you dont get a job that allows you to even suggest ways to change the constituion, and pass new laws. Wow, scary thought
arrh, i got nothing good to say.

It would be wrong to kill or eat a PERSON. A corpse is not a person anymore. It is simply a discarded remnant left after the person dies.

It's like giving the person's clothes to goodwill -- the person has long since stopped using them.

And no, I'm not at all joking. I see nothing wrong with other people benefiting from a person's body after the person has stopped using it. It's like organ donation -- other people live off of the remnants of the dead.

Hell, indirectly we eat the dead all the time. Do you honestly think that none of the protein molecules or fat molecules that you consume in any product were ever at some poit in a human before?

Life is a circle, and all living things (except autotrophs) eat the remnants of the dead to live. Eating your own species too is just more efficient.

And REALLY, do tyou think that person is going to be needing their body anytime soon??
