    4 horsemen of doomsday !

I forgot what they are called. not being alarmist, i cant
help to notice the pointing similarities(hollywood style).

1- War(in the middle east the ceter of the 3 major religions)
& ongoing threat of its expansion.

2-The Plague(SARS , its so potent it can infect the earth
pop by 2005) & its already infecting the ppl who are supposed
to find a cure for it "The Doctors". in toronto they have shot
down 3 hospitals already because 33 doctors & microbiologists
    have been infected themselves.

    3-fathers killing baby,s in the womb(scot peterson)

4-I forgot this one. drought. is it?

    Its so depressing.

Bush should send the 101st to find these 4 horsemen
&bring em to cuba.they are probably connected to bin laden.

i agree, scary times we live in, but think about it, if we lived 50 years ago, we'd be thinking the same thing....ya know that guy......the one that killed like 11 million people .....gosh, whats his name......oh yeah, Hitler.

if you look back in history, the 4 horseman circumstances have come up several times....not shooting down your theory...just sayin

traditionally known as War,Famine,Pestilence and Death.

and unfortuneately there will always be all four of them. Death is a fact of life everywhere.Famine can affect both civilised and uncivilised countries.Pestilence is always with us no matter what wonders modern medicinal science conjures up for us. And war, well we can hope for global peace but i feel the human race is too belligerent in nature for that.
So by my reckoning the end of the world has been nigh since before the birth of man.

actually one hostpital has stopped taking patients unless its an emergency. i have not heard of any full out closing. just goes to show how easily the panic and rumors can spread....

Too bad the book of revalations was meant to be read esoterically and was not about the end of the world, just the fall of babylon (rome)

In Revelations, Babylon was used as an alias for Rome, because many letters were opened and read before they reached the intended recipient.

hmm, i had no idea. i must have slept through that class. damn arts options. i was refering to babylon in the fertile cresent region ~2700 BC. it was sacked than later later emerged as the neo-babylonian empire, then eventually fell again.

4-Horsemen? lol Never heard of anythign of the sort. Anyways, if any of you are actually afraid you should look up the Nuclear Safety Protocol or whatever it is. Basically it says: Dig a big hole in the dirt, cover it up, place some closeable ventilation holes in the ground... then put alot of 90 Degree turns in it. It is supposed to help save you from radiation poisoning. Then you are supposed to stay in your pit with salt water for afew weeks and be careful of the Fallout radiation.

Anyways, I'd rather steal a really nice car and try to outrun disaster. Oh, and after I got my really nice stolen car I'd goto the dentist and steal their lead vests so that it may help stop some radiation... if it even protects against that kind.

It would, if you had enough lead...nuclear power plants have outer walls of lead.

"...will mourn for her as they see the smoke rising from her charred remains. They will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will cry out, 'How terrible, how terrible for Babylon, that great city! In one single moment God's judgment came on her.'"
"The merchants of the world will weep and mourn for her, for there is no one left to buy their goods..."
"'...in one single moment all the wealth of the city is gone!'"
"And all the shipowners and captains of the merchant ships and their crews will stand a a distance. They will weep as they watch the smoke ascend, and they will say, 'Where in all the world is there another city like this?' And they will throw dust on their heads to show their great sorrow..."

    Revelations 18:9-11,17-19

Just thought it was oddly similar to 9/11...but then Revelations also says that people will think the end times are here, even when they aren't really (or something along those lines).

Any statement ambiguous enough will always seem true. People always think doomsday around the corner.
