    Talking My new toy...

I just ordered a new laptop! Here's the specs:

    Dell I5100,15.0" XGA,
    2.4 GHZ-P4
    256 MB, 266 MHZ
32 MB ATI MOBILITY RADEON 7500
    40 GB ULTRA ATA HD
    24X CD-RW/DVD COMBO

With a $200 rebate and my EPP discount (10% off) it only ran a little over 1,400.

    Here's what it's replacing
    Dell Latitude C800
    800 MHZ - P3
    128 MB, 133 MHZ
    4 MB INTEGRATED VIDEO ADAPTER
    10 GB HD
    20X BASIC CD-ROM

Now the worst part....waiting a week and a half to get it!

I would if I could, FYB! The reason I ordered a new one is because the one I have now belongs to the company I currently work for and I was recently offered a sweet IT job with the local City government. So IF I take the new job the old laptop goes bye-bye back to my (current) boss.

    Sorry, Bro!

**EDIT** The reason I ordered it right now is because as long as I currently work here I get a discount with Dell because the company is a global level 6 customer with Dell. Of course, I still have to pay for it myself but I saved a few hundred bucks with the discount!
