    College boredom...

Well, I know what me and my friends do when we are bored at school. We think up stupid things we can do to get in trouble, or we do something productive, like tonight. We changed the green LED in my friend's wireless card to a blue LED. If you are interested in seeing pictures of that: http://attila.stevens-tech.edu/~dlelewsk/

I was wondering, what do other people do when they are bored at their college? We are at a tech school and there aren't many girls to speak of, so that is out of the question. Anyone?

Did it not occur to this person that one could easily paint a blue tint onto the light with a paint that could be found at any craft store?

    Cheaper, and less (technical)labor.
    c++->visualc++->directx->opengl->c++;
(it should be realized my posts are all in a light hearted manner. And should not be taken offense to.)

The LED cost about 2 bucks, and took about 30 minutes of our time. Not to mention if we painted it over blue it would have not been as much fun or kept our attention. This is just an act of pure boredom.

Well it was me who did the mod, and no, painting it over would've sucked...it's a green light, how would you paint a green led to glow blue? besides, you wouldn't have gotten the smooth look and professional quality job if i had just painted it...this is a nice, quality job...and there's no fun if theres no risk

if i was bored at college i would probably just get on battlenet and play starcraft!!!! something else you could do with a computer perhaps. me and a friend where building a computer in my computer class and i plugged the usb power cable in incorrectly and the power and reset buttons functions where reversed. as in the reset button turned it on. you could do that to your friends computer as well.
    yum, yum potatoes!!!!!

Xei: We have two because everyone in this school was given a laptop when we got here. So every one in our class has the same laptop.

Yea, we've done the entire gaming thing, and we wore a lot of games out already. My friend has a 16 port switch, so a bunch of us bring our laptops in there and play some games every now and then, but it gets boring rather quickly, for me atleast. I'm not a huge gamer.

When we're bored at school, we usually drink or try and make life hell for a house full of our friends down the street.

Thats more like it! How can you be bored.?

Break out the cans or get down the pub.....student life is never boring...

Oh, unless you are 12 or something-then I reccomend going to the sweet shop (or something)
    Such is life.

And if you don't drink? Drinking can be fun sometimes, but I definately can't handle it as a lifestyle. You can only drink so much before it gets old, especially when the parties suck and you can't get into the bars.

Well, you can do other things. I was just saying what I do. It was more in response to jessie's "play starcraft" thing. The LED deal was pretty cool, I thought - sounds like something my friends and I might do, too.

And painting it blue would have been cheating
