    Talking Giving up Programming!

I've had enough of programming for a living and I need to get out more! I've been doing it for too long and working too hard. It was really getting me down!

I'm going to grow trees instead!

I will still visit this site every so often and will probably get the urge to write some code in the future. But I'm staying away from anything longer than 10,000 lines of code.

    See you all soon.

    Andy
    aka Davros

I don't have any plans on taking a salary drop.

This worries me, this is the second professional software developer I've seen that wants to drop out (fill your brain was the other).

I'm seriously wondering if I will even last myself...I'm already thinking of not taking computer science (if i don't get into DIT) but taking Math instead.

its funny how the first thing that comes to everyones mind is money.

my advice (from what ive heard from people in the profession) is that if your in it for the money, get out now cause you wont last. if your in it because you like it, then the money is just a bonus!

    good luck Davros!
