    Ot-online is Ot-offline?

Fellow ot-onliners: did Fool/Chris shut it down or something? It says that the site cannot be found.

Uh, I don't think so, unfortunately. This is something I never heard of before, but Chris'/Fool's excellent board was shut
down because his web host refused to allow him to run his
message board without an accompanying web page. So he
went down. Shame. That place was rockin' and rollin'. Here's
hoping he makes a successful comeback.

It was a place like this place, but it catered to a wider subject realm. There were forums on Java, hardware, graphics, sports,
etc., etc., etc. It didn't have the world-wide exposure this place
does, but that's only because OT was an infant. The membership
in its short lifespan managed to get OT-Online voted onto the
top 100 sites list. It was numero once last time I looked. It was
a place frequented by people other than C programmers, although about a dozen of regulars here helped Fool out with
his site. And I think every one of the dozen or so regulars will
tell you the same:OT-Online rocked. There was a lot of sharp
dressed graphic artists and such checking the site out, many
new people who I've never seen on this board. Waay cooool.

You're right rick. That place ruled. I loved that place. I hope he puts it back up man, it was just starting to take off.

BTW, why didn't he just make some crappy website to go along with it so he could say there's a website?

Yup..me too...and I didnt get the chance to even delete some gimp's posts.... or turn them purple or whatever.

I am going to try to build a forum soon for my site. Hopefully in JSP. I have downloaded the forum software, a MySQL database, an apache web server and a JRun Application server. So far I have been at it for 2 nights and as of 12PM last night I have finally managed to set everything up.....what a nightmare........

Dont know what the end result will be, I may lose interest before I can get something good, but we'll see......

Can't comment on that. But I do know that he has the source
code for that board and has received offers to sell it. Some
enterprising people are going to get a good deal on that, I'm sure. Not me, though. I like uglee message boards and web
    sites .

Calling all mods. Calling all mods... Chris/Fool is back (we think).

Chris has graciously accepted my invitation to administer my
message board at flashdaddee.com, which means all you mods
on OT-ONLINE can have your old jobs back just as soon as Chris
and I get the board up to snuff. Remember that cool mod lounge,
    guys? It's coming...
