Hmmm, you have ordered a book before reading some reviews on it? I have not read this book myself, but it is a highly recommended book by ACCU.

hm, mayhap i should read into that in case we have to have that for a course in the future.
by the way y'know at UCI we have the engineering school and then the CS school, so there is a pretty large disctinction between the two, yet there is such folk as a "software engineer". i remember that term from before coming here, and now as ever usually connotated the engineer who does things in 'real life', and the programmer as the one who simulates it all. furthermore there are many more departments in engineering, as CS just recently became a school on it's own from it formerly being a department (not under engineering though). also, they renamed our ECE (electrical/computer engineering) dept to EECS... and i have no clue as to why...
sorry to post all this stuff not really relating to the post, but it is interesting nonetheless no? and furthermore, thank you for bringing a book up (as opposed to war, or rhetorical analysis for that matter... =) )

This is the book most of my teachers here refer to.. And for my project this year.. it seems that i have to go through the SDLC(SAoftware Development Life Cycle) to complete my project.. So along with my project i will have to submit various reports that were generated through this cycle like the DFD, Process Specification, Controll Specification, Testing Documents etc etc...
So i thought that this book was a good one to go through.. Thanx for your feedback..
and my project this year is a Chess game with single player AI...
