I loved TNG until it started to get a little weird in the last season. Never really got into any of the other versions though. I heard the next movie will be based on Voyager instead of TNG which might be ok, Picard et all are getting a little too old unfort.

Nobody is going to believe this, but i grew up without tv.

    ::Edit::

I loved the books, though. Especialy the original series. the rest are well, yeah, cant say it. Some people are near by
The only good thing about freezing beyond feeling in the final Nordic ski race was that I couldn't feel that tumble I did going about 30 mph, maybe more.
On the other hand, not feeling any part of my body for 30 minutes was scary, especialy for my manhood.

Windoze: XP, hate it, though its more stable than my old 98SE

Speaking of which, I'm going to ICON soon. If you don't know what that is, you can safely assume it's a SciFi convention. Zya.

I chose not to vote in this poll. Years ago, when I had a far worse life filled with no friends and nothing to do, I was a hard core trekkie. With my first paycheck ever I bought the Star Trek Encyclopedia and read the whole thing cover to cover.

I could go off on which shows/soundtracks/characters/etc. I like the best, but that'd be like an alcoholic taking another drink after years of being sober.

I will say this, however, Enterprise deserves a lot more credit than it gets. I occasionally watch it when I have nothing else to do, and I must say that it has some serious acting in it and some decent story lines. In some of the other series, the story lines became so complicated that only the most fanatical could fully understand them. Now, since I have mostly forgotten what Dilithum crystals and the like are, I have no trouble understanding Enterprise. For this and other reasons, Enterprise deserves more respect as an actual TV show, not just a Star Trek show. Enterprise is almost at the point at which a person with almost no knowledge of the Star Trek universe could sit down and enjoy an episode. That's the way entertainment should be—entertaining.

Alright, enough out of me. Move along now, you trekkies
    FAQ

"The computer programmer is a creator of universes for which he alone is responsible. Universes of virtually unlimited complexity can be created in the form of computer programs." -- Joseph Weizenbaum.

"If you cannot grok the overall structure of a program while taking a shower, you are not ready to code it." -- Richard Pattis.

I think one of the most useful devices that could be developed is a "deflector dish", it would seem that if you route whatever through one, it is able to do anything.

Dang, I need one of those.

TNG-The best, freakin sweet, always fresh and new
Original-the original, what else can you say?
DS9-Had my interest for a while, but it pretty much blew
Voyager-watched it almost as hard core as i did TNG
Enterprise-Complete crap, utterly pointless and a disgrace to the series

I thought it was a funny one
If we're speaking from a pure which one is the best from the sci fi point of view, i'd have to go with the last of the original set of movies (was that 8 or something?) The one before the came out with Generations.

DAMN! 5 and 6 are the only ones I haven't seen. Well, my current favorite (out of all but 5 and 6) is first contact. ::hums the star trek fanfare.)
