Just a suggestion, but in your resume, don't use the ellipsis so often.

I'm not sure there are international trends. I see resumes from the US and find them full of buzzwords, this weeks jargon and 25 word job titles, (Senior assistant deputy vice president...), and other stuff which cuts no ice here and is likely to result in the CV being ignored.

By the same token, I would guess our really laid back CV's wouldn't cut it there.

Have you not got any recruitment boards where you are where they have sample CV's?

Trends? I think that depends very much on the country you want to work, like adrianxw said, and it also depends on the field you want to work in. The company I work for does embedded system development for several companies in Europe and we see that for embedded software programmers Java is getting more and more important. In mobile phones it was already very important, but also in other types of products it is getting used more and more.

Surprisingly, pictures of yourself nude in erotic poses arnt what most employers (of computer technical jobs) are looking for. A hard lesson to learn indeed.

As far as I've been told by some of my teachers (who are in charge of hiring at there jobs) a standard resume that shows you are technically capable of doing what the job requires is all you really need, and that the interview is 87% of what gets you hired. But they also tell me that no work place is the same and hiring conventions differ, but in their experiences flashy resumes arnt all they are cracked up to be.

I'm holding back my comments on that one.

Different employers are looking for different things obviously, so it depends on what job you're trying to get. One thing every employer wants is someone who will work hard; so try to work that into the tone of your resume.
I work for a small start up company so the import thing for us is versitility and how well everyone gets along with each other (so personality). When I was hired, my interview was partly to see how well I would fit in (since I didn't have much experience).
I know how tough it can be finding a job right now so best of luck.
