From your post I assume you are an American. You probably might want to work on your language skills, besides needing a spellchecker, you don't notice sarcasm when it hits you head on.

Wether those wars are in history, is an unimportant detail.

No, it's not. When was the last time you had a family member tell you how it is to sit in an airraid shelter hoping to get out alive ? I don't suppose I have a clue how it could feel. But I have people who do and who try to tell me. Americans probably don't. And this shows.

We do not attack sovereign nations with healty leaderships that DONT commit attrocities.

Says who ? Are you judge and executive in one place ? Didn't you learn that those system of checks and balances you praised above work with three parts and no two of them should be in one hand ?

I am an American, and I know my country has often done the wrong thing, but in most cases it has corrected itself or is working on it. After the U.S. Civil War, when large corporations grew and acted with government indifference at best, popular movements against unrestrained capitalism also grew. After the Great Depression, government checks were put in place in an attempt to keep business accountable before the law just as individual citizens are. Now and again, abuses do come up, but they are usually dealt with. Unfortunately, the Republicans in power have been turning a blind eye to managed health care organizations' abuse of their customers for profit recently.

During the us-versus-them hysteria of the Cold War, U.S. governments sometimes armed questionable people (precursors to Al-Qaeda, Saddam Hussein, etc.) following the illogic that an enemy of our enemy is our friend. Now America is paying the consequences. I hope President Bush does not make the same mistake during the terrorist scare happening now. As during the Cold War, Republicans have been able to put Democrats in a tough position, claiming anyone against the war with Iraq is a terrorist supporter (just like being "soft on communism").

Unfortunately, the United States, which attempts human and civil rights, equal opportunity, etc., at home continues to back many shady governments as allies. My freedom seems to come at the price of a poor Saudi's freedom.

On the plus side, the United States ended inequality under the law for ethnic and racial minorities, women, and non-Protestants. Some bigotry remains practiced by individuals, unfortunately. Western Europe seems to take a much harsher attitude towards immigrants, especially from Islamic countries.

It is wrong that the U.S. government puts regulations on corporations at home but allows them to get away with so much exploitation in the third world. This is something that will need to be addressed very soon, but I do not think President Bush and his fellow Republicans will be able to take the responsibility.

1.) When I posted this morning, I had been up or 26 strait hours. I'm sorry that my grammar skills are not up to par. However, my typing errors are irrellavant in a forum with posts riddled with errors; including yours, jackass.

2.) You pretend that americans don't know what losing family members feels like, simply becuase we haven't had a recent war in our own land. You pretend we don't know what it's like for civilians to be affraid for their life from something they them selves have not part. Well SCREW THAT! Our innocent have suffered from terrorist acts, we know how it feels. Regardless of the circumstance, we do not go into this war cold hearted as you believe. As I said before; this war is all about prevention.

3.) Regardless of your personal opinions, our system of checks and balances work. Plain, and simple.

PS: I no longer wish to fruitlessly debate the politics of America with some one who belongs to a nation who is infamously known for commiting attrocities far worse than anything the usa has ever done; or any one else for that matter. This thread, is neglected to me. Thanks.

No, I pretend that Americans don't have people who remember war as civilian victims. Can you name a family member of yours who can give a first hand report of how it feels in a bomb shelter with enemy aircraft eradicating your city ?

I branded him naught. I suggested before offering up the faults of another country, first examine your own before you decide to throw stones. (A biblical allusion). And before you go trying to acuse me of doing the same, I remind you that I started no thread of criticism of other countries, or my own; I also remind you I did not engage this act, but rather defend against those that do.

I told myself I would no longer read this pointless thread, and now I will stick to it.
