    What do YOU do....

Hey, im interested to know what everyone does in terms of programming. I know the majority are c/c++ programmers but its uses are quite varied. Just maybe put a little about your title, language used most and recent projects. And maybe some about where you wanna go with programming in the future.

What can I say, i'm nosey

For me, as some of you may have noticed, im still learning (stop laughing :P). Im currently in my second year of a games programming degree. Hoping to go on placement to get some experience and in future looking to maybe develop my skills in network programming. My current course is mainly graphics and it just aint doing it for me

If you are really curious, search the board. I guess people get bored with responding to the same kind of thread several times.

My title is Senior Software Engineer (Research and Development), I use mostly C++, sometimes Delphi/Pascal, sometimes assembler, and most of the time, I'm building software for Earth stations for controlling satellites, 50% on OS'd 64 bit systems, the rest on non-OS'd embedded boards using ARM and PowerPC chips.

I am currently making my final year university project. I am part of a team building a robot. My job is the main control centre of the robot (guess you might say it's brain). That basically involves some AI for the route-generation algorithm and collision detection/avoidance and quite a bit of control for it's coordination and interpretation of sensory data. There is also some Win32 GUI and sockets programming thrown in for good measure.

First search I tried, searching for "job title", (one of the things you were after), yielded some hits. Carefully worded, you'd find a whole load more. In one form or another, this topic does come up about every 3-4 weeks.

Alright, if that's the way you feel, this doesn't need to be open anymore...
